Ok I will give it a try.I guess it has a reason for doing this

Yes I have a FX5200 card and the drivers it is using is NV

Another thing that may be causing the problem is.
I notice the file /ect/X11/glxconfig is completly commented out.
I dont know if its because of a selection made at install.
