Wow! Funny what can happen with a small typo.
It should have read. "I just read up on IFS."
What I was trying to say was that after I read about it I came to the
conclusion that it is similar to a kernel module for file systems and I
think that kernel modules would do exactly the same.
Sorry for using IIRC. I originally had to ask what is was as well.
Hopefully we can put a short list of commonly used abbreviations on the
welcoming email that users get sent when subscribing to the list.
