Hi Guys
When I brought this subject up at the AGM it wasn't to create more work
for other members. It was just to get a better personal interaction at the
workshop meetings. Between the long term members and the new members.
Having said that I would also like to say thank you to the people in the
club
how have picked up the ball and run with it(hope I am not getting to
jargonistic
here). :-)

Also doing is the major part of any undertaking. If you have not done it
before
then the task can seem quite daunting. But once you have been showen and have
actually done the task you wonder what all the fear was about.

I wonder how many members here would be scared witless to have to change the
spark plug in there car.Its a simple job(if you know how) so why does it
seem so
daunting.Because if you stuff it up your car won't go and what is more you
may do
more damage that will have to be repaired as well.
Now I could point you to 1 million sites that will tell you every thing you
ever wanted to
know about spark plugs and how to change them but untill you actually get
showen by
someone you won't even lift the bonnet .
Well I am the spark plug guy untill I actually see and do the task I am not
going to try
anything because I don't want to cause more damage than I fix. That is why I
go to the
workshop as opposed to posting on the mailing list.
The other thing that I would ask of people who help out at the workshop
night if they
let/make people do the things they want done. Now it may only take you 5mins
to do
what ever has to be done were if you make them do it it may take half an
hour.The thing
is that you may get it done quick but the person will be back next month
wanting much
the same thing till you both get to the point of frustration. You saying why
does this person
never learn and they saying I never get to actually do anything.
I am reminded of a cortoon strip were the two characters are sat either side
of a tree
One characters says to the other 'Who won the world motor racing
championship".
To which the secound character replies "Lauder"
The first character then repeats the question but louder in volume. To which
he receives
the same reply.
This goes on for several times untill they both go there separate ways.
The first character mumbling "dumb basted".
And the secound mumbling "deaf pr**k"

Cheers
Innis
