[plug] Old problem returned to bite me

Hi people,

I upgraded to SUSE 9.3 today, and I can't get any sound out of my
machine - first thing I said was that it had to be muted, but Kmixer
isn't muting, and all sound levels appear fine. 

Any ideas?
