Important vim wars update.

I have had several requests to change the date. Given the arbitrary
nature of the proposed date, I would like to change it to Thursday 11
August- one week later. Unless there is a /very/ good reason (or many
complaints within the next 48 hours) can we consider this date fixed?
After this time, we will need those who have expressed interest to
commit (off list to tim.bowden at westnet.com.au is fine).

Venue: Darkzone Northbridge: www.darkzone-wa.com.au

Date: Thursday 11 August 7pm - 9pm then beer and pizza after (on the
premises)

Cost: About $25 - $35 depending on a full turnout

Rules: If you play, and are on the winning team, you can claim your
favourite editor is the best without having to justify your claim. If
you loose, you have to acknowledge the superiority of the winning team's
editor whenever you recommend your own choice for the next 12 months.
As Leon Blackwell pointed out, if you are on the winning team
you /don't/ have to advocate the editor you played for, so don't feel
too bad if the only spot you can get is on the emacs team ;-)

Despite the efforts of Leon Brooks, we can have only three teams with a
maximum of ten in each. Something to do with the way the body packs are
tagged. Here are the proposed teams so far:

Team1: Vim Rules
1. Tim Bowden (confirmed)
2. Michael Collard
3. Chris Caston
4. Matt Lambie
5. Tim White
6. Quintin Lette
7. Leon Brooks
8. Bernard Blackham? - Do you want this Bernard?
9. Gregory Orange
10.Mark O'Shea

Team2: emacs
1. Cameron Patrick
2. Russell Steicke (confirmed)
3. Russell Steicke (proxy) (confirmed)

Is there no one else who will stand behind the emacs banner?

Team3: nano rocks
1. Daniel Pearson
2. Kev Downs
3. Daniel Axtens
4. Philip (bishop.frog)
5. Shayne O'Neill
6. Andrew Fury
7. Craig Foster
8. Adam Davin

Proposed by Leon:
Alex Polglaze?
Matt Kemner?
Nick Bannon?
James Andrewartha?

What team do you want? If you don't hurry, you may be left to play for
emacs. What a horrid thought <grin>.
