Yes.. self built distro..
Had 2 partitions on the key. A Fat16 using loadlin to boot, and an ext2 that held a stack of .tgz 
files that my initrd uncompressed into a ram disk to run the system. (The original design for this 
booted off CF).

But, the whole system actually ran from RAM and just saved some config data back to the key (each 
machine as 1.5GB of ram). So probably not *quite* what you are after.
