I'd exercise caution on that, because USB keys are a point of failure too.
A NAND memory stick has about 100-200k write cycles and after that they
will start malfunctioning. I'd assume if one dispensed of the file/cookie
cache it wont be such a problem, but its worth keeping in mind that USB
keys *do* wear out.
