Back to the original problem. Firstly check for journal files. I'd recommend if a reload is not working to kill bind (pkill -9 named) remove the jnl files (same location as the zone files) and reload bind. That is a last resort situation. It /should/ work although you have some 30s downtime on the name server. Tim
