[plug] Gmail SMTP rewriting headers? [OT]

I just tried to send an email through the Gmail SMTP servers with the
From address sent to an optus address. It promptly rewrote it to the
address of the user I had authenticated as and sent it along.
Anti Spoof? It's a pity that it doesn't preserve the from in some way.
Oh well, looks like I can't use Gmail's SMTP servers as my mail relay
for all my mail, some of it doesn't come from my Gmail address.
