[plug] [OT] ADSL modem resync

I was getting a problem like that on my DLink DSL-300 modem on an iiNet 
service.  I discovered that there was a firmware upgrade for that modem, 
applied it, and the problem went away.

You mentioned WestNet but I didn't see mention of the modem make & 
model.  You might want to browse Westnet's "Download Vault" at 
http://www.westnet.com.au/members/vault/drivers.shtm to see if there is 
an appropriate firmware upgrade for the modem giving you trouble.  Or 
you could browse the manufacturers downloads&support pages.
