Before I go off and hit the gnome lists (I find the gnomes are not always friendly!), does anyone know how to change the default archive manager from gzip to bzip2, and to pass arguments to the program such as "-9". This is in the gnome file manager (nautilus) accessed from the "computer" icon. BillK
