Get enough money to buy the rest of it when Howard sells the rest of it?

Other than that, I'm not quite sure - the only thing I can think of
would be to use some sort of wireless setup which has problems of its
own.

You could of course dump Telstra as your phone provider. I use
Optus/Singtel who are just as bad but I refuse to pay Telstra money
directly if I can avoid it.
