[plug] Setting up kppp in Fedora Core for normal users to access...

Hi all,

I have tonight, set up my new computer, with Fedora Core [latest], and
have configured kppp to be my dialer. The only hassle that I am having
is that when I run kppp it says that it requires root privileges to run
and therefore I need to enter the root password.

I had a look at the manual, and it says that if you create a
file /etc/kppp.allow and on seperate lines enter the usernames of the
users you want to be able to run kppp, then it should allow you [as a
normal user] to connect. However, I've not had any luck with this - it
is still asking me for the root password.

Has anyone seen this problem? On Mandrake, I used to be able to grant
users permission to start the modem, but I've not been able to determine
how it is done in Fedora.

thanks heaps in advance guys

David Buddrige. 8-)
