[plug] somewhat OT: server hardware upgrade and a Dell server?

Hi all,

As I mentioned in a previous post my employer really wants to start moving
to linux and the first step will be an environment with one Win2003SBS
server and one linux server. We want to use an old Dell server (used to run
Win2000server) for the linux server at first and my employer wants to
replace it's old multiprocessor motherboard (which only actually has a
single processor) with a more up-to-date board and processor(s). Does anyone
know if this can even be done with an old Dell PowerEdge 1400 server? That
is, can it physically fit something besides a Dell board and a Dell power
supply?
