You may find that the system will set it forward again on next boot, or
whenever it notices the zone changes.

I noticed that boxes that had rebooted since the zone-file change were OK.
On the server, I ran 'tzconfig' to reset the zone ('change' from Perth to
Perth) and that fixed it. I think my /etc/localtime was OK.
  What is the proper way to notify the system that you have changed the
timezone file?

I agree it is a real bug that date still says "WST". Especially at the
hours of changing back, when datestamps will be ambiguous.

Gavin,
I thought JBidWatcher was supposed to sync with eBay's clock, and not
be bothered by the local setting ???
