(This is a branch of a previous thread wherein the issue of java apps
needing a timezone patch was raised along with other daylight saving
nonsense)
Anyone applied the java 'jtzu' patch successfully? I downloaded the
patch from the link I posted before, again it's here:

and whether running manually or using its 'self discovery mode' it
complains that I don't have a jre installed. Hello? How do I run my
java apps then?
Meantime, I've got JBidWatcher displaying THREE different server times -
if ever there was an app for which accurate time was more essential!
The logged-in message at the top of that app shows 55mins behind WDST,
whereas the status bar of the app shows the old WST, plus the new WDST
but it claims all three are WST :-/
Bloody politicians should just stop making regulations that I voted
against last time. Next thing ya' know the chooks will stop laying ;-)
