[plug] Question for everyone

One tip... apt-cache search.... Invaluable! If you must, Aptitude is
good, synaptic without the "cute" GUI.
To this day, I'm still scared of Dselect though. Even when I thought I
had it figured it out completely, it did something strange, and
attempted to force remove 90% of my apps, or botched something up.
I'm under the impression that the people who made dselect, made it as a
tool to get people more in tune with APT and its tools, as its so much
of a headf&*k to use.
Regards
Shannon

That is surprising. Even windoze doesn't keep a trash-can on USB drives.
But why are you using a GUI file manager at all?
Seriously, learn bash and loose the training wheels.
Now I must go learn APT so I can wean myself off "synaptic" :-)
