Probably the easiest to set up would be an NFS connection - you "export"
a directory from the host, and mount it on the client. Do a "man
exports" for options on the /etc/exports file entries, and use "mount"
to mount from the client (can be done from /etc/fstab, but beware of
timeouts and such).
Sorry for not answering earlier, but to be honest, I thought you were
joking when you asked for help, since you write for Tux mag and you know
more than than almost anyone else I know about setting up video
players.
