Hi all,

I am running Fedora Core 4 (with kernel 2.6). I've been wanting
broadband for ages but unfortunately, my house is too far from the local
exchange to make adsl viable.

As a result, the only option was to go with Bigpond wireless broadband.
I subsequently applied and have received by courier a shiny new maxon
usb wireless modem and a windows installation CD. Since I don't
actually use windows on any of my computers [last time I bought one that
came with windows was 98], I am attempting to configure it myself.

I have come across the website:

http://quozl.linux.org.au/mm-5100/

Which at the moment is my only source of info on how to set this up at
the moment.

The /dev/ttyACM0 has appeared, so that part is working. the trouble is
that I am currently using kppp to connect to the net using my trusty 56k
dial-up modem [my only functioning connection at the moment].

Does anyone have any experience with setting this device up for bigpond?
If someone was willing to visit at some point, I am willing to pay with
beer/beverage of your choice... [never been particularly good with
network config's beyond the default settings].

thanx guys

David Buddrige
