Just my 2fils worth, but I have 6TB of media storage here on ext3. 3TB of that has been up 24/7 for
over 2.5 years and it has seen probably a total of 10 reboots over that time. Not so much as a sniff
of a problem from ext3. The other 3TB has over 12 months on the clock.

I'm looking at building another 6TB server in the near future and it's quite likely that will be
ext3 also.

The only hassle I've had with ext3 is when my laptop drive developed a dodgy connector and nasty
things did happen, however all my files wound up in lost+found intact.. just named inconveniently.

We all have our preferences I guess, but I just started life on ext2 way back when, and followed the
most logical upgrade path.
