Arie, tell me: do you have SATA drives on that machine you're trying to
install on?
I had heaps of trouble and eventually gave up on my son's machine with
FC4 because the install was very problematic on his SATA/motherboard
combo. I had hoped that the release of FC5 would have more recent
support for his hardware and allow him to play with that release
instead. Maybe your experience has shown it's not so :-(
As I reported in a previous thread, SuSE 10.1 went on his SATA machine
with no hitches or special kernel parameters so it looks like he'll
become a SuSE guy by default :-)
