I've spent the afternoon assessing the casualties after succumbing to 
pressure and finally pressing the "upgrade" button in Synaptic. Mencoder 
seems to be the only problem out of the entire upgrade. Xvid won't even 
work at all and a few of the audio codecs now won't play nicely with the 
video codecs.

Has anyone else experienced problems with mencoder in Dapper?
