[plug] Ubuntu vs Kubuntu

What I intended to do was a full machine backup and a clean install of kubuntu (downloading the DVD 
now). That way I could just dump back the working gnome configuration if I don't like it..
I guess I have a spare machine lying around at home I could try it out on though now I think about it..

I was kinda fishing for "Yeah I tried it and a,b & c did not work.. wait a little longer.." or 
something similar.. which is what I've kinda noticed in my google and forum searches..

I'll give it a whirl when the dvd is finished downloading..
