I live one suburb west of Hamersley and we have had no problems with any
modems here, from 1992 through to a couple of years ago when we finally
changed over to ADSL. We had no problem getting stable (lasting over
24hr) connections at high (for a 56k modem) speeds. However, I also live
less than a kilometre from Hamersley phone exchange.
