Just got my Mandriva newsletter, and thought you guys might show a
certain amount of interest in the following.

It'll certainly make Mandriva look more useful as a desktop replacement
than Linux usually looks to the uninitiated.

> Mandriva to offer paid music download service with Mindawn
>
> Mandriva recently announced a partnership with the Mindawn music
> download service. Future commercial copies of Mandriva Linux 2006
> will be bundled with software allowing users easy access to Mindawn's
> online store, which unlike most of its competitors offers a variety of
> music in the high-quality, open source FLAC (lossless) and Ogg Vorbis
> (lossy) compression formats. This marks the first such partnership
> between a major Linux desktop and an online music service. You can
> read more about the deal and the services provided by Mindawn in the
> press release.
