[plug] MySQL Server only half there

[Chris Watt]

How do I go about finding and checking those files, and what should I
be looking for in them?

I'm not particularly savvy with mysql's underside, as I only really
know how to use it as a database that already works.

I've never had an install not allow connections before so I'm at a loss!!
