[plug] Anybody used linux on a sony vaio VGN-TX27GP/B

Actually, that reminds me.  Off topic here, 

But we sold an LG Laptop at work a couple of months ago which had a similar
feature, it had an offline linux based DVD player, where you could start the
Laptop as a functioning DVD Player only.

I'm not completely sure of its usefulness (Might be a good movie player on
planes due to possibly less power use than when the actual laptop is
running???!?), or just for a great portable DVD viewer, but it was a pretty
cool feature to have on the top.
