Actually, it more comes down to the fact I've been playing with ubuntu and Gnome on this thing and
Gnome is just slow.. it's a 1.2Ghz processor that runs ~580 mhz when slowed down on battery, and
Windowmaker is just far more snappy..
Yes, Gnome is lovely, but this is a low spec machine really.. I run WM on my P-IIIM 1G clocked down
to 750Mhz on battery and I love it..
