[plug] bitmap and pcidata problem

Hi

I've just installed FC5, and have customised it using notes from
http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_5_installation_notes.html#Yum

Everything seems to be working ok, but I cannot get X to start with the 
nvidia driver.  Modules "bitmap" and "pcidata" fail to load.  They 
exist, and load properly with the nv driver.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?  Google shows 
lots of people having the problem but no solution is immediately apparent.
