You all make it sound so hard!

1. Unpack powersupply and lappy while signing at front door.
2. Power up and *netboot* Debian/Ubuntu installer.
3. Watch as lots of text (and progress bars, depending on the VT your
on) flies by, thanks to the automatic installer you always have handy
on netboot.
3a. Write email to list, using text based client, or telnet to the
SMTP server, or SSH to normal machine, and write it there.
4. Finish installation without reboot (fancy Ubuntu trick IIRC)
5. If you must, reboot and start using, or just start using...

Of course, if you can't wait... LiveCD or similar ;-)
