I've found Tyan boards, with AMD Opteron 246 CPU's with registered ram (of
your choice of brand..) to be extremly reliable. If you're interested in more
direction, or a quote contact me offlist :)
Using the above combination, we're running a myriad of Windows Server 2003
(hey.. AD!) and Debian fileservers - and haven't had any problems yet.
