I just had a look in the kernel's .config for 2.6.19.2, and found an 
option for wireless at
device drivers / SCSI device support / network device support / wireless 
LAN drivers

I have no experience with wireless so I do not know if the above is 
relevant, but it looks possible.

If a new kernel is needed, building a kernel now is quite easy and safe. 
  However if you do it on the old Celeron, you will probably need a 
loooong weekend to see it through...
