[plug] CD-ROM problem

Hi gize,

I apologise in advance for a rather lengthy post.

I need some help please, with what appears to a proprietary format on a
set of mp3 CDs. My children bought a set of mp3 CDs which I wanted, for
my birfday. It's a set of 6 mp3 CDs. When I insert any of the 6 CDs
into either the internal CD drive or my USB CD drive on my laptop (IBM
ThinkPad R32), Konqueror lists just one folder on the CD - a folder
called partition2. If I try to open said folder Konqueror gives me this
error message:-

Could not enter folder /disks/Removable/cdrom.1/partition2

If I try the same in mc I get this:-

Error
Cannot change directory

Given that I'm using Xandros 4.1, when I use their file manager it
reports the folder named partition2. If I attempt to enter that folder,
the whole file manager crashes. Here's the backtrace provided after the
crash. Please bear in mind that I have /absolutely/ no idea what any of
this means, hence I don't really know what's relevant and what's not to
include for someone to be able to help me.

If I try the same operation from the command line I get the following:-

Password:
lappy:/disks/Removable/cdrom.1# ls
partition2
 lappy:/disks/Removable/cdrom.1# cd partition2
bash: cd: partition2: No such file or directory
lappy:/disks/Removable/cdrom.1#

Finally if I try the same CDs in either a Windoze machine or in my car
CD/MP3 player all works as it should. However, I don't have a Windoze
machine of my own and I don't like to have original discs in my car.
Windoze says that the CDs are formatted in CDFS format, which I thought
was fairly garden variety. The CDs, by the way, are published by Zondervan.
Can anyone out there shed some light on this issue please.

Many thanx in advance,
Kev

We currently use Xandros 4.1 - but they went to the "Dark Side"
So we're moving to Debian Etch
