Lots of things are silly, but there's unfortunately real court cases
going on and real behind the scenes dealing on this sort of crap.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if this stuff is the result of the
*AA's talking to these companies and explaining what would happen
if they didn't "get with the program."

(I'm so glad my field of interest has been covered in court cases and
won by sensibilities. :)
