Not answering your question, but 18 months ago I wanted a RAID system so I
bought an Adaptec SATA RAID card, and the card has worked very well since. In
fact, the only problem I've had is from Western Power (Synergy or whatever
they're called now) and a crap supply - now fixed with a UPS of course.
