One thing that you computer-types *must* appreciate is that the
average user doesn't know the difference between data and programs.
Not even after 9000 years of exposure to Windows. :-)

"What about my data?" is therefore meaningless/confusing for them.
It needs to be re-phrased to "What about my files?" or similar.

The relevant page needs re-work to take into account the (perhaps
promoted) ignorance of the difference between data and program.
