[plug] keyboard lights flash - why?

dmesg ??

If all 3 are flashing at a reasonably fast rate, its usually an
indication of a fatal kernel crash/oops - which it isnt in this case.
I'd still have a look at dmesg and see if its non-fatal errors or
something ...
