Brett,
If we weren't trying to be so polite for the sake of being a friendly
place, I'd give you serious flamage for this disgraceful mail.
/NOWHERE/ has anyone made any hint of suggestion to wind up
PLUG. /NOWHERE/ has a suggestion been made to close the list. To
include such claims is inflammatory and completely unwarranted. You've
also complained about the content of the thread changing without the
subject changing. This is not at all abnormal. There are few long
threads that don't morph content subject. You've been around long
enough to know this. By complaining about this you are again being
deliberately inflammatory and unreasonable.
If you're worried about PLUG changing, get used to it. PLUG's never
been static, and never will be. One of the observations that has been
made during the thread several times is the way the character of the
plug list has changed over the last few years. Where talking about how
we can change again.

Check the website. It's all there. I'll even give you the link:
http://plug.org.au/contact/

What's going on? Read the thread. It's all there. Out in the open.
Nothing is being obscured. That's demonstrated by you obviously getting
wind of the discussion despite it being "under the guise of a completely
different topic". Such a claim is again inflammatory and unwarranted.
No, don't bother reading the thread. I'll give you the short and sweet
of it. People are discussing how we can better serve the needs of those
who are new to linux. Providing a web based forum is one means that is
being discussed. Come to think of it, maybe that makes the thread
subject reasonable.
