[plug] Floppy access after Edgy>Feisty upgrade

Hi list,

It appears that my floppy drive is not automatically mounted when a disk
is inserted.

Access via Places>Computer>Floppy drive returns a momentary window
with the message 'Opening floppy drive' and then opens the root
directory in Nautilus. >media>floppy or floppy0 then displays the floppy
files and floppy icon appears on the Desktop. Floppy mounted and now
accessible.

Access via Places>Computer>Filesystem>media>floppy does not work.

fstab reads:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
proc            /proc           proc    defaults        0       0
# /dev/hdc3
UUID=5d3cd338-8453-45e2-8066-cd2115169c43 /               ext3
defaults,errors=remount-ro 0       1
# /dev/hdc1
UUID=348526ba-5845-476d-8da3-0895970c74cc /boot           ext3
defaults        0       2
# /dev/hdc2
UUID=938ae800-268e-413c-b2d1-28483df6d4d0 none            swap
sw              0       0
/dev/cdrom        /media/cdrom0   udf,iso9660 user,noauto     0       0
/dev/fd0           /media/floppy0  auto    rw,user,noauto  0       0

    ---which looks strange to me - I don't understand what the lines
starting UUID= are all about, but I guess they don't have any bearing on
floppy access.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour and/or have any ideas about fixing
it? The update went well otherwise.

regards
Dave Dartnall
