Just a quick guess about why your floppy drive is not mounted
automatically when you insert a disk :
Your fstab file has the line :
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0
where the options are :
rw,user,noauto
Change the 'noauto' to 'auto' and and try again.
Maybe that will help.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
