[plug] Question about APT-GET

Hi,

I'm having some fun with Feisty Fawn and apt-get.

I wish to install eclipse, the eclipse-cdt and g++.

However "apt-get install eclipse eclipse-cdt g++" proceeds to decide
that I must also install a god awful multitude of other stuff.

eg. ant ant-optional docbook-xml eclipse eclipse-cdt eclipse-jdt
eclipse-pde eclipse-platform eclipse-rcp
  eclipse-source exuberant-ctags fastjar firefox g++ g++-4.1 java-common
java-gcj-compat junit
  libbcel-java libc6-dev libcommons-beanutils-java
libcommons-collections-java
  libcommons-collections3-java libcommons-dbcp-java
libcommons-digester-java libcommons-el-java
  libcommons-launcher-java libcommons-logging-java
libcommons-modeler-java libcommons-pool-java
  libgcj7-jar libgnomecanvas2-0 libgnomecanvas2-common libjsch-java
liblog4j1.2-java liblucene-java
  liblucene-java-doc libmx4j-java libnotify1 libnspr4 libnss3
libregexp-java libscrollkeeper0
  libservlet2.4-java libstdc++6-4.1-dev libswt3.2-gtk-java
libswt3.2-gtk-jni libtomcat5.5-java
  linux-libc-dev scrollkeeper sgml-data zenity

How can I limit apt to only the true dependencies. The apt man page and
google have not been very helpful.

Cheers.
D.
