It wants royalties from distributors and users. Users like you, maybe.

Do you having any reasons to believe why you should not pay royalties to 
Microsoft for using a product that has nothing to do with M$?

If you own a property in WA you have to pay water rates whether you use the 
water or not, its the same thing.
