Hi Everyone & apologies for any cross posts,

IT jobs at Presbyterian Ladies' College Perth (PLC) don't come up
very often, but one has and might suit some of the more technically
oriented of you.
The incumbent has left us to further his studies at postgraduate
level in advanced mathematics/engineering (he is a really smart young
guy!!) and so we are sorry to lose him - but we know he's not the
only smart individual out there - so we may be looking for YOU!!

If you think you could be described as a competent programmer/
developer and have Unix/Linux/MacOSX/PHP/SQL and/or C++/Java/Xcode
skills plus you have some knowledge of educational environments (did
you go to school?) - then you might just be the one! MS Sharepoint
skills would also be attractive.
It would also help if you are familiar with the work of Mike
Bombich... (OK, Google him if you don't know!)

We have over 1000 Mac laptops used by students and staff (most run
both Windows and OSX), PC laptops and desktops, Windows, VMware & Mac
servers, a very sweet Cisco wired and wireless network, multi-
terabyte SANS, high spec fibre to the net and you would be part of a
team of 8 full time (non-teaching) IT staff.

As a leader in the application of technology to the learning process,
we need to solve problems and address issues others haven't... yet.
Can you solve problems others can't or haven't even thought of yet?
Do you have ideas you wish you had the resources and requirements to
develop? If you can, and do - we're interested in you.

Even if this doesn't sound like you - but sounds like someone you
know - please forward this on.

For more information please see the job ad on SEEK by following the

and visit the link to the PLC website for a job description and
application details.

Its a comfortable environment and you will have access to all the
latest toys and we believe in the ongoing development of our staff...

Regards,

Brett Clarke
