Internal IT Person/Systems Administrator for Manufacturer/Distributor

Chemform is a medium sized privately owned chemical manufacturer and
distributor based in Perth, Western Australia. 

Chemform has an opening for an Internal IT Person/Systems Administrator.
The role is likely to be UNSUITABLE for candidates who have
predominantly worked for technology companies within the Information
Technology Sector. Ideally candidates will have worked in a similar role
where they were the resident expert in the IT systems employed by a
company. Starting salary ranges from $50,000 to $75,000 depending on
qualifications and experience.

The role involves day to day support of the company's network and
servers (a mix of Windows and Linux servers) as well as approx 20
Windows XP client PCs and notebooks. Support aspects include hardware
installation/support/repairs, software installation/support, and
technical support to end users. 

In addition, the role will require the candidate to become a 'power
user' of our accounting system. This will involve gaining an
understanding of the way the system is used by all roles within the
company so that questions such as 'where do I go for this?', 'what is
the best way to do this?' etc can be answered. 

The role would be suited to somebody with above average IT skills and
some background in business. A general understanding of the
administrative functions that occur in a business, and a basic
understanding of business accounting concepts is desirable. 

We seek a candidate who is interested in a long term career with the
company who is happy to diversify their skill set and assist in other
areas besides IT. The successful candidate will work with the current IT
Manager for six months so that training in the company's IT
infrastructure can be provided.

IT Skills Required
*	Linux internet gateway (Apache, Squid, sendmail, BIND, iptables)
*	Microsoft Windows Server 2003 - Active Directory/Group Policy
*	Microsoft Windows XP Professional
*	Experience with a programming language and a basic understanding
of general programming concepts.
*	Experience working with a database
*	Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and VBA programming
(Word/Excel primarily)
