I'll do that once I do a little more investigating. However, last
night saw the issue come up again, but with DIFFERENT SYMPTOMS!

The changes to smb.conf appear to have something to do with it:

 wins support = yes
oplocks = no
name resolve order = wins lmhosts hosts bcast

and removing the duplicate printers section


 but there's more!

Before I could ping the FC10 box after the problem occurred. This
morning, I could not, but I also didn't get 'delayed write failed' -
rather 'access to unnamed file...' errors.
Pinging OUT from the FC10 box allowed me to ping back to it from the XP Pro box!

I feel a little out of my depth here and have a 'WTF??' look on my fce
right about now :)
