[plug] Fedora 10 question

Greetings all,

* have just installed Fedora 10 and at install time I did not have my USB
connection plugged into my UPS,
hence it did not detect my UPS and set up the monitor etc.
Having now plugged it in it does not detect it dynamically now when I reboot
with it plugged in.
I have spent all evening trying to work out how to resolve this, can someone
please help?
