And, of course, with Amazon being USA based, it (and all of the web
sites that it hosts) will be subject to the USA Patriot Act, under
which, all transactions and activity has to be reported to the USA
government, on demand, so, any business web site hosted by Amazon, will
have no client confidentiality, or any other kind of confidentiality, as
the USA government will know whatever it wants, and, all such web sites
and transactions conducted via such web sites, will be subject to USA
federal law, and, probably also to the law of the particular USA state
in which the web site(s) will be hosted. It could be great fun, for any
Australian small business being required to travel to the USA, to
participate in any court action that might occur from having a business
web site hosted by a USA business.
How many hundreds of millions of dollars, did you say that the small
Australian business, has in reserve?
