I then did an 10.10 alpha 3 upgrade and got touch response
didnt register first touch but when touched with second finger could control mouse with second
but seem to kill keyboard response until toggle rocker and got back
Interesting. I'll make some time on the weekend to upgrade it and give that a go! I'll let you know what I find.
I describe the hanvon as a mini computer with a touch screen layer added
win 7 not intergrated properly, just bolted on.with token touchpad options.
linux is easier to use and adjust (try playing with windows fonts to make readable or bigger and you lose the buttons (linux we just alt grab ANYWHERE and move :)
DEF DONT recommend it as a user touchpad (ipad is better for it just works crowd :)
I've found it quite useful so far. I guess it's just a matter of what you use it for. I've replaced my laptop with it (and plan to sell the laptop on Ebay shortly) - but I discovered what I do with my laptop nowadays is read Slashdot and catch up with my RSS reader on the train, so having a smaller, lighter device that's optimised for reading is exactly what I needed. Beats lugging around my three year old 2.5kg laptop!
The large hard disk (320GB) and Linux's encryption makes it a perfect off site "take with me" backup of my data.
got network working via usb to ethernet (see it just works)
have a belkin
54g usb wireless network that works for wireless but the tplink doesnt work (havent done the niswrapper test yet)
When I'm out and about I use a USB tether with my Android phone, which covers the networking for out, at least. I did buy the cheapest possible USB to ethernet adapter which at least gives me ethernet.
