Gestures with multitouch in Ubuntu 10.10

Canonical’s UTouch framework has landed in Maverick and will be there for its release on 10.10.10.

might be part of what I dabbled with (nice to know what its called now :)
I upgraded my tablet to 10.10 alpha, and there is the uTouch framework in there!

As previously mentioned, the clicking and navigation is weird at the moment (and actually unusable on this tablet) but the basics are there, and the touch screen is supported. Looking at the interface and what's planned for it, it's going to beat the pants off anything else out there that uses standard desktop software - and adds the full power and speed of Linux.

Reading up implies that there is a lot of effort going into this framework and tools, so I imagine we'll see full support for this device very soon!

Very exciting!
