I have been working with this all week Tletsra's Sierrra Wireless 201 worked fine under ubuntu out of the box, Huawei E220 on 3 worked out of the box dial string: *99# APN: 3netaccess you will find most places will supply a Huawei of some kind anyway if you need help with wvdial config's let me know.

The Huawei e160e works fine on Mint-8. i will not mention the hassles i 
had to get it going but, Phil Bennett got it worked out for me. The 
problems were caused by myself. Like most things - easy when you know how.
